Our strategic approach includes the following steps to identify the best solution for
our clients:
• Identify the need through an understanding of the client’s industry, budget and
other objectives, incorporating the competitive environment and recruitment
and retention strategies.
• Conduct an exhaustive market survey and evaluation.

• Review potential solutions considering cost, impact to employees/culture (positive or negative), costs/rewards of implementing a solution quickly verses a multi-year transition.
• Work collaboratively as a partner with the client to select the appropriate solution.
• Implement and monitor the selected strategy.
• As carrier data is available, assess the state of the plan (i.e. cost trends, claim experience) throughout the plan year. Our evaluation process emphasizes periodic reviews over intensive activity concentrated at renewal time.
Dominion Benefits believes there is no substitute for employee education, an ongoing process. The better the understanding of benefits offered, the easier plan administration becomes. Dominion Benefits works with clients to design the optimal employee communication approach for each organization and will be directly involved to the extent desired by the client, including oversight and facilitation of employee meetings. Many of our clients utilize a customized (to the individual employer) website, provided by Dominion Benefits, that makes accessible summary descriptions, enrollment forms, etc. directly to employees.
We have a wealth of industry knowledge and we are effectively able to engage the client in the analysis and decision process. Most of our clients do not necessarily want to wade into the confusing details and unique differences of each and every carrier. Complex issues will be presented in understandable terms, thus increasing our clients’ ability to articulate decisions to all levels of their organization.
